ROOTED

Rooted is an experience focused on helping people connect with God, the church, and their purpose in life.  It is facilitated through small groups of 10-15 people over ten weeks. Groups meet for approximately two hours each week for discussion and experiences centered around the workbook content completed between meetings (daily devotions).

This Winter we are encouraging everyone at South to join us on the Rooted journey. Existing groups will be encouraged to do Rooted. If you aren’t already in a small group, don’t worry — we’ll be prayerfully creating new groups.

Below are some common questions. If you have other questions, please reach out to us!

  • The $35 registration fee covers the whole 10-week experience including the Rooted Experience book, multiple group experiences, and an ending celebration party! Scholarships will be available if needed.

  • Our church will journey through Rooted will begin the first Sunday in February. We’ll gather together a few times through the 10 week study. Outside of those corporate gatherings, groups will meet weekly at their designated location, day, and time.

  • Throughout Rooted, you will have five daily devotional and journaling experiences each week to help you practice the 7 Rooted Rhythms modeled by the early church in Acts 2.  These rhythms include daily devotion, prayer, breaking strongholds, sacrificial generosity, community service, sharing your story, and worship. Committed and consistent practice of these rhythms will not only impact you but the whole church.

  • For the best Rooted experience, we recommend not missing more than 2 weeks. The 10 weeks are a cumulative experience, and so we ask that every participant commit to honor each other by being at every meeting.
